Lyric Question

On "Time to Go Home", there is a line that sounds like "Those who dam streams, can build fountians. But those of us who just let them run free, we can move mountians." That line makes sense.
The liner notes, however, say the line is "Those who dance dreams", the rest is the same.
Anybody know?

This June, summer solstice weekend - June 20, 21, & 22, 2008 marks the 15th anniversary of the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, an annual world peace and summer solstice celebration. The event takes place in the picturesque Anderson Valley of Boonville, California at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds located 35 minutes west of Ukiah. The Festival supports artists in whatever form, and freedom of expression as a way toward world peace and the promotion of a sense of community. Reggae, World, and conscious music with a rhythmic essence that promotes movement provide the platform to present some of the premier recording artists and touring acts in music today. The event unfolds over three days on two stages and in the late night dance hall. There is an extensive children's program and a wonderful food and craft bazaar.

One in a lengthy stream of glowing reviews Franti and Spearhead have reaped since the disc¹s release on July 25th, 2006, The San Francisco Chronicle insisted, “Yell Fire is a pleasure, with Franti proving again that it¹s possible to turn speaking truth to power into an exhilarating dance revolution.” Meanwhile, Relix touted it as “an album that never forgets to entertain while educating” but perhaps The Washington Post put it best when it wrote, “Of the recent spate of antiwar tunes, none is quite as compelling as those of Michael Franti,” adding, “This joyous fusion of reggae, hip-hop and soul is a gentle, galvanizing call to arms.”

The live record includes a handful of older tracks, but mostly documents the changing nature of the tracks from 'Yell Fire!'. "Those songs really changed and developed when we went on tour," Franti says. "We went through all the recordings and selected what we felt were most indicative of what we've been doing live lately."

A cosmic trigger event is occurring on the 17th of October 2006

You do not need to be in a meditative state through out this time, though would be beneficial. The main key time no matter what time zone you are in will be the peak time of 17:10 (5:10 pm).

Perhaps at this time if you can find a peaceful spot or location to focus. The optimum is out in the vicinity of grounded nature, likened to that of a large tree or next to the ocean waves. Focus on whatever it is you desire. What is required for the benefit of all Earth and Humanity is positive thoughts of loving nature.

We call this UV beam trigger event, "818 gateway. Please forward this message to as many people as you know who will use this cosmic trigger event to focus positive, good willed thoughts. We require approximately 1-million people across globe to actively participate in this event. Please use whatever communication mediums you have at your disposal. Help needed at Harmony Festival

Rock the Earth www.rocktheearth.org is a non-profit environmental advocacy org that brings together the music and environmental community. We will be having a table set up in the non-profit zone at Harmony Festival and I need some volunteers to help throughout the weekend. The purpose of the table is educate people about who we are and to ask them to sign up for membership. if they don't want to sign up for membership then we atleast try to get them to sign up for the email list so they can learn more about Rock the Earth. One of the perks of working at our table is that you often will get to talk with musicians who have heard about us and want to know how they can get involved.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please send me a message with your contact info (email and phone) and when you plan to be at the festival. If you can work 1-2 hours any of the days that would be great!

Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root has been awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security for construction of detention and processing facilities to be made ready in the event of a national emergency. Brown and Root has been part of the Skull and Bones nexus since its inception at the turn of last century. Like Halliburton, it has grown fat on blood-money gleaned through decades of perpetual war, including the present conflagration in the Middle East.

If the fascists batten down totalitarian power domestically, Kellogg, Brown and Root will likely profit immensely from the erection and maintenance of such prison camps expected to dot the land of the free if the fascists launch a military takeover.

Homeland Security camps could be bulging at the seams overnight when the U.S. falls under "emergency" military rule. Indeed, the foregoing shows the Bush administration is preparing for this eventuality. The U.S. already has the highest per capita incarceration rate in the world. During martial law, when no one is free to move around at will, just about EVERYONE is under a form of "house" arrest. Americans got a taste of this grim future when, during the 2004 Republican National Convention protests when 1,806 demonstrators were rounded up, imprisoned without charges and kept in filthy conditions for 24 hours or more.

The Real ID Act passed by Congress in December 2005 completely solidified Ellison’s ID plan. This new law establishes a massive, centrally-coordinated federal ID database. It forces all 50 states to spend millions of dollars to update their equipment so that by 2008, all holders of U.S. drivers licenses and state licensed ID cards will have their biometric data and other personal information fed directly into the national data base. Congressman Paul says the new ID cards will likely contain radio frequency identification tracking technology that can be read by scanners at a distance, allowing the governments of U.S., Canada and Mexico to quickly locate any card-bearing American.

National ID cards are only the beginning. America’s fascist police state is demonstrably anxious to ensure that each citizen have his identification number permanently attached to his body. For many years, U.S. intelligence agencies have been working with private corporations and covens of scientists from Princeton University and other enclaves to develop subdermal radio frequency devices that can be injected under the skin of humans for identification purposes. Syringe implantable ID transponders were readied years ago, as illustrated by the prototype fully developed in 1995 by CIA-connected Hughes Aircraft Company.

While many European nations are also setting up electronic identity systems as a foundation for future ID chip implants, it is especially pertinent that ADS has been given a prestigious award for its sinister implant technology by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

WEF is a clique of wealthy corporate and political elitists who dictate global agendas. One of its most famous members is Bill Gates of Microsoft. Gates travels the world spending millions to promote injections for people of Third World nations. ID microchip implants are the mother of all injections. Microsoft recently patented a way to use human skin as a power conduit for electronic devices.

Another is the VeriPay device which carries financial information and is scanned like a debit card. People in Europe are now being implanted with VeriPay chips in order to enter bars and nightclubs.

So far, these kinds of chips are passive. That is, they don’t beam information continuously. Their transponders have to be awakened by a reader. These chips and their scanners pass kilohertz radio-frequency signals back and forth through the skin. The first step to inducing public acceptance of these ID chips, said San Francisco Gate columnist Mark Morford, is getting the public to accept chip implants as beneficial for health. The next step is to make it all fun and commercial and convenient. The third step is "whatever the hell they want."

As injectable ID chips come on line, Homeland Security is paying numerous corporations to develop a national network of object-mounted wireless sensors that will be able to read implanted human chips.

In the Homeland Security state, microchip implants of various kinds will likely become as common as cell phones. Eventually, citizens who refuse to accept identification chips may be denied access to services and benefits by heel-clickers supervising the national ID system. And thus we see how cleverly Americans are being manipulated into this crucible by killers in the White House, and by the most corrupt Congress in history and by the amoral, money-grubbing corporate megalith they all rode in on. In the name of national security and public health—millions of non-discerning citizens will allow themselves to be micro-chipped like dogs, tracked by satellite and stripped of all privacy as they become the virtual slaves of a techno-tyrannical surveillance state.

If we want to know what USA will be like in the near future, we need only look at Tony Blair’s Great Britain—surely the most advanced police state in Europe:

• ID cards with facial scans will soon be compulsory throughout U.K.

• There are over 4 million closed circuit cameras monitoring every move the British people make and all faces caught on camera can be matched with a national data bank.

• British police are carrying hand held DNA kits linked to national data bases for when they test saliva.

• People are being pulled off London trains at random and forced to submit to a full body backscatter X-ray to reveal what they have under their clothes.

• Swipe cards used for transportation and building entry allow police to plot a citizen’s every move on a dot map.

• All moving vehicles in Britain are camera-recorded so that police can analyze, by license number, every journey, and every gas purchase made.

• People and vehicles are being tracked from cell towers with a new technology called "Celldar" (as in radar).

• The British people are reporting grave illnesses from their exposure to thousands of microwave transmitters which make this metastasizing surveillance nightmare possible.

This article is making it seem like Bush is on the side of the protesters. There is this "Its a revolution, get on board" advertizing that is being seen everywhere in Yahoo and on the News right now....curious enough... the revolution is being supported by media???? I wonder how much this is Bush trying to get more POLLS support now.... I mean on every News item there is this advertizing (Video short) saying that "Its a revolution, get on board!" Coincidently after ALL the major protests against the War in Iraq....?????

Franti. If anyone sees him on tour before April 1st and is willing to pass this information along, it would be greatly appreciated.

On behalf of the Tre Arrow legal defense committee, I would like to
extend a heartfelt invitation for Micheal to visit Tre in the Vancouver
Island Regional Correctional Centre while touring in Victoria.

March 13th marked two years of incarceration for Tre Arrow and the
beginning of a 24-day hunger strike in protest of the injustice he
continues to endure while appealing extradition to the U.S.

Over the course of the past fourteen years, Tre has lived a life
dedicated to peaceful activism in social, environmental and political
realms. As an extremely effective and outspoken organizer, Tre found
himself at the forefront of an environmental movement, which
successfully interfered with industrial powers. As a result, he has
fallen victim to what appears to be a widespread campaign to silence
the voices of conscience that choose to speak truth to power.

Tre emphatically maintains his innocence to the charges he is facing,
despite the U.S. government and the corporate media’s thorough attempt
to discredit his reputation. It is highly unlikely that Tre will
receive a fair trial in the U.S., due to the intense slander he has
received across the mainstream media. In Tre’s own words, “The U.S.
government and media have attempted to brand me a ‘terrorist’. I cannot
think of a label that is more contrary to the truth. I am a pacifist."

April 4th is the deadline for Canadian Minister of Justice Vic Toews to make his decision regarding Tre’s extradition. If ever there was a time to send courage and strength to this conscientious individual, now is that time.

Knowing Micheal Franti's commitment to social justice, it seems fitting
for him to have the opportunity to connect with Tre in person. April
1st would be the 18th day of his hunger strike, and a mere 3 days
before the deadline for the Minister to decide about his extradition.

Hello to everyone, it's Tre, here behind these walls at Wilkie.

March 13th is the two-year mark of my incarceration. I am calling upon supporters to embark on a hunger strike with me. I am not protesting the conditions or my treatment here at Wilkie. To the contrary, I know the conditions of my incarceration could be much worse... My heart goes out to all those suffering behind prison walls around the world (like Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Attica...). I protest, rather, the US government, the FBI, and the complicit Canadian government for imprisoning me for two years of my life! I protest the fact that I have been denied resonable bail (a violation of my Charter rights) despite my emphatic declaration of innocence. I protest the persecution I am experiencing because of my political opinion and a willingness to take a stand against the power structure within the so-called "democracy" of the U.S. I protest the fact that the U.S. government seeks life imprisonment against me for my alleged involvement in arsons, which 3 people pled guilty to and in exchange for implicating me, recieved 41-month sentences from a potential 80-year punishment. I protest the FBI's attempt to make an example out of me by criminalizing dissent and attempting to instill fear and immobilization within the environmental movement.
I am imprisoned for being a voice for the trees and putting my body and life on the line in an effort to save some of the last ancient forests of this continent. I am imprisoned while those killing our forests receive tax breaks! I am imprisoned while multi-national corporations pollute our air and water, contaminate our food supply, and poison, abuse and murder innocent, sentient, non-humyn animals.
Starting March 13th, I will be fasting for 24 days, one day symbolizing each month that have been incarcerated. Please join me in solidarity in this 24-day hunger strike. Join me for one, seven, ten, or the entire 24 days. In doing so, you will not only be supporting me, but we'll be calling attention to the ubiquitous suffering taking place here in Canada, and around the world.
